Title of the presentation: Internet Technologies and challenges for an European borderless eGovernment service
Abstract: The presentation will develop the requirements for the future internet from the eGovernment perspective.
We are aware that the ubiquity of the INTERNET is not enough in order to support a critical communication infrastructure for borderless eGovernment services. eGovernment services in Europe are the most challenging ICT infrastructures requiring interoperability, governance, process orientation, high security. These requirements can be satisfied if and only if the INTERNET of the future becomes application gnostic. The proposed directions of INTERNET development are the conclusions of different projects in eGovernment area in Germany and on international level and the participation in FP6 and 7 programs.
